our third annual review on Language, Culture and Change, highlights a series of
issues that underpin civic engagement and social responsibility within higher
education institutions, corporate settings and environment, from various
perspectives. It is a contemporary record and example of current thinking,
experiences and rationale in this area, reuniting most of the articles presented at the
4th annual conference of the LSP unit from “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of
Iaşi, in May 2011, on the theme of Civic Engagement and Social Responsibility in the
