Coeditare împreună cu Beit - Casa Editrice Trieste. Volumul este urmarea workshop-ului "Old vs New Diplomacy. Debates about the Romanian and European Diplomacy (XIX-XXI Centuries)", organizat în noiembrie 2011, de Institutul de Istorie „A. D. Xenopol” Iaşi al Academiei Române, în colaborare cu Facultatea de Istorie a Universităţii „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” Iaşi. Tema, deşi aparent epuizată, suscită încă polemici în rândul istoricilor şi nu numai. Relativa fragmentare a perspectivelor, a interpretărilor şi a metodologiilor de lucru, diferenţele de abordare în spaţiile cu tradiţie istoriografică în domeniu şi nevoia permanentă de dezbatere şi cunoaştere oferă un plus de legitimitate volumului de faţă.

Gh. Cliveti (n. 1952) este profesor universitar doctor la Universitatea "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" din Iaşi şi Director al Institutului de Istorie «A.D.Xenopol» al Academiei Române - Filiala Iasi. Premiul “Nicolae Bălcescu” al Acamiei Române pentru cartea România şi Puterile Garante (1856-1878), Editura Universităţii “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” din Iaşi. Cărţi publicate: România şi Puterile Garante. 1856-1878, România şi crizele internaţionale. 1853-1913, Concertul European. Un experiment în relaţiile internaţionale din secolul XIX, Prolegomene la studiul relaţiilor internaţionale: epoca modernă, Europa franceză şi cauza română (1789-1871).
Adrian Bogdan Ceobanu (n. 1985) este Drd. Asistent cercetare la Institutului de Istorie «A.D.Xenopol» al Academiei Române - Filiala Iasi. Coordonator al volumului "Diplomaţie si destine diplomatice în lumea românească", (în colaborare cu Paul Nistor), coordonator al volumului "Cultură, politică şi societate în timpul domniei lui Carol I. 130 de ani de la proclamarea Regatului României", (în colaborare cu Gheorghe Cliveti, Ionuţ Nistor).
Adrian Viţalaru (n. 1981) este asistent universitar la Universitatea "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" din Iaşi. Coordonator al volumului "Secvenţe din trecut. Studii de istorie şi de relaţii internaţionale", (în colaborare cu Iulian Ghercă Munteanu) şi al volumului "Spaţiul românesc între democraţie şi totalitarism", (în colaborare cu Iulian Ghercăşi Liviu Cărare).
Ionuţ Nistor (n. 1980) este lector universitar dr. la Universitatea "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" din Iaşi. A publicat "Problema aromână în raporturile României cu statele balcanice 1903-1913", Editura Universităţii „Alexandru Ioan Cuza”, Iaşi, 2009.
